Trash is a useless object. But, you know, garbage can be used as a substitute fuel oil?
Shaped fuel briquettes were first developed by environmental activist groups in Nepal. Foundation for Sustainable Technologie (FoST)-a-glance at the potential of NGOs that are contained in waste that accumulate and contaminate roads and rivers in Kathmandu and other cities in Nepal.
Then came the idea of making waste briquettes, coal briquettes mimic the first known community of Nepal. The difference, smoke residue and coal briquettes highly polluted air, while relatively clean waste briquettes. No smoke, no
beresidu. Also, how to produce it fairly easy waste briquettes.
Ways of making briquettes
Waste used as raw material is waste paper briquettes, bamboo, sawdust, bagasse, leaves and other organic waste.
Once sorted, the material is inserted into a vat containing heated water. Then the garbage was crushed and stirred Like making paper pulp. No chemicals are used.
Then the waste slurry was printed. There are disc-shaped with a hole in the middle, there is also a form of tablets. The size of diameter 5 cm with 5 cm thick too. There are also printed by hand. Currently, FoST develop 10 types of waste briquettes.
How to use
For combustion, FoST also introduced a special stove called a rocket stove (rocket stove) shaped tube with a diameter of about 10 cm. At the bottom mounted battery-powered fan to aid combustion. Batteries are used, two 1.5 volt batteries, which hold for a month. Quite practical.
What Indonesia would also use appropriate technology? I hope so. We wait later.
