Two People Indonesia Receive Award in Georgia, USA

Benjamin Hioe and Rima McGraw, two Indonesian men who had dwelt in Georgia receive the Award "Most Influential Asian American 2011" by the Georgia Asian Times (GAT) an influential media in the state of Georgia, the United States. Award was presented by Li Wong, President and Publisher GAT at the gala dinner, July 14, 2011 in Norcross, Atlanta, Georgia

Rima is the CEO and founder of Design Studio Karmila Sustainable while Ben is the activist Indonesian Community Heritage Foundation (ICHG) and Director photographi GAT. Both leaders of Indonesia's received awards along with 23 others from various countries in Asia.

Li Wong said that the award recipients are selected by the GAT, journalists Asian community who are active in Asian-American community events in Georgia and is open nominations from the community of Georgia.
 

Added, the candidate receiving the award is an Asian-American citizens in Georgia. They have a variety of professions and excel in the field of arts and culture, social, business, government, politics, education, justice, research, science and technology and other fields. Their real contribution should also be influential in public life in Georgia.

The award in 2011 is the sixth time held GAT.

Benjamin Hioe Hioe or better known as Ben, originally from Jakarta, lived in Atlanta since thirty years ago. Ben is known to help people, especially residents of Indonesia in Atlanta and surrounding areas. He is also active in community activities in Georgia, such as one of the initiators and work in Indonesian Community Heritage Foundation (ICHF), a community social organizations are formed independently by the Indonesian community in Atlanta. In daily life, Ben Hioe photography hobby, and served as Director of Photography Georgia Asian Times newspaper.
